PolicyMAP
In today's fast-paced world, political expediency sometimes trumps holistic policy planning. At MSR we believe this doesnt have to be so. Policy planning and review timelines can be shortened considerably to make them still relevant for our times. We will help you review policy through the eyes of relevant stakeholders. We will also help you collate comprehensive evidence for robust and effective policy planning
PROJECT-impact
Development projects generate far-reaching impact when done well. However, the project planning, implementation and control requirements for major social development projects require the co-ordinated effort of trained and committed human resources. Often, striking a balance between top-drawer project management expertise and cost-effectiveness can be a tall order. That is where we come in...
NudgeSTRATEGY
Cosmopolitan societies are complex. Social behaviour within multi-ethnic and multi-cultural contexts are usually difficult to unravel and it is difficult for government agencies to get citizens to contemplate the right attitudes and behaviours towards social development. At MSR we understand how behavioural economics and nudge theory works; we bring ‘nudge’ lessons and best practices from around the world to stimulate contextualised strategy and instigate local action.
MEL-impact
Social development projects must be delivered in ways that are effective and efficient. That is why integral aspects of any development project are: monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL). Our core strength with MEL is with the use of mixed methods. Over the past decade and more we have earned an enviable industry position as being one of the most rigorous with quantitative research and the most creative with qualitative research. We understand triangulation and how it should be used to tell holistic impact stories.
ENTERPRISE-impact
Impact investments, and social enterprises, will be key to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Global South. At MSR, we understand how social enterprises work in Africa. We also have a good idea of how to measure or evaluate performance of impact investment within local data collection limitations. Let's partner you plan and track impact investment that works.
ManifestoMAP
Multiparty democracy is working fairly well in many African countries, including Ghana. Incumbent governments must deploy voter-centric messaging and development initiatives as effectively as their opposition counterparts. Using surveys, focus group discussions and innovative data collection methods we will pin your manifesto to exactly where it works most - the hearts and minds of voters.
KAP-impact
Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) studies are staple research projects within the social development space. Social systems in the Global South are complex. To deliver KAP studies properly within this context requires a wide range of skills and a thorough grasp of mixed method research and data triangulation. Mixed methods research is our strength and we cap it with a trained field force that delivers without fail.
NPM-impact
Organisational research and development are critical to public sector reforms. Our understanding of the New Public Management (NPM) paradigm and the marketing orientation of the public sector is our forte. Either at the highest civil service levels or at a local government level we bring a refreshing pair of eyes to public sector reform strategy and a firm pair of hands to the change management that must come along with it.
